Cross Country Paragliding Adventure

We depart Cape Town at 9am. You can come with us or bring your own vehicle - there is some off-road driving so be aware before you bring your sports car.
The trip out there is a bout 2 hours. We drive up Dasklip pass and jump out at the Pampoen Fontein paragliding launch site.
After signing an indemnity form and being briefed by your pilot you will be securely strapped into your harness. Within a few minutes your pilot inflates the glider and you are running off the mountain.
Finding your first thermal you turn and turn until the ground is far beneath you and the clouds suddenly very close. The variometer beeps urgently as the ground gets further and further away.
The Cedarberg mountains appear across the valley and the rugged landscape below.
We head off down the ridge looking for our next climb.
Generally we set a goal to Citrusdal, about 30km away, down the ridge and in the next valley.
Upon landing we are collected by our dedicated retrieve vehicle and we have a welcome cold drink before packing up and heading back to Cape Town.
Flight time and distances travelled vary according to conditions and whether the passenger (you) gets air sick and requests that we land.
Schedule
- Depart Cape Town: 9am
- Arrive Porterville: 11am (approximately)
- Take-off from Pampoen Fontein launch: 11.30am
- Depart Porterville: 4pm (approximately)
- Arrive Cape Town: 6pm (approximately)
