Your tandem paragliding flight, captured from the air
Paragliding over Cape Town is over in minutes, but the memories don’t have to be. The paragliding photos Cape Town flyers share most are taken from the air: with our inflight photos and videos package, your pilot captures your whole flight with a camera mounted to the glider, so you can enjoy the moment instead of worrying about your phone.

Paragliding photos Cape Town, from the air
- The launch: the few steps before you start flying
- The views: Table Mountain, Lion’s Head, the Twelve Apostles, Camps Bay and the Atlantic coastline from above (depending on where you are flying from)
- You: wide-angle shots of you and your pilot, arms out, mid-air
- The landing: touching down
What’s included
- 20+ high-resolution photos from your flight
- Short video clips of your flight (unedited, straight from the camera)
- Delivered straight after your flight, or by file transfer the same day if there’s a hiccup
Why add it?
Most people only fly once in Cape Town, and it’s the photos they share and keep. The paragliding photos Cape Town flyers take home are shot from angles you can’t get from the ground, and your pilot frames every shot.
What to wear for the best photos
A little planning makes a big difference to your paragliding photos Cape Town friends will see:
- Wear colour. Bright tops stand out against the blue of the sky and the Atlantic far better than black or grey.
- Bring a layer. It can be cooler and breezier in the air than on the ground, and you’ll look more relaxed if you’re comfortable.
- Tie back long hair so it doesn’t blow across your face in the shots.
- Wear sunglasses. We encourage it: they keep the sun out of your eyes and stop the wind making them water, so you look relaxed rather than teary in your photos. A strap or a snug fit keeps them on, because anything loose can fall over the houses below.
- Leave caps and loose hats behind for the same reason.
- Smile, look around and put your arms out when your pilot says so. The best shots happen when you’re simply enjoying the view.
Frequently asked questions
Can I bring my own phone or camera?
Yes, as long as it is securely attached to you with a lanyard or strap so there is no chance of it falling. This isn’t about losing your phone: we fly over built-up areas, and an object falling from the sky could injure or kill someone below. Anything that can’t be tethered stays on the ground or is stowed away in a zip-up pocket.
Honestly, though, you’ll get better results leaving it to us. Our pilots fly these sites every day, weather permitting, and know exactly where to point the camera to catch every angle and the best shots, so you can put your hands out and just enjoy the flight.
